Two exhibitions and two little-known sides of Picasso at the Picasso Museum

Picasso and the Comic Strip and Picasso Poet are the two temporary exhibitions being presented by the Musée Picasso until January 3rd, 2021. The first focusses on the great Spanish artist’s love of the comic strip medium. This love was so great that the artist drew inspiration from the codes and characteristic design elements of comics to create his works. The second exhibition invites you to discover another different side of Picasso by exploring his manuscript poems and understanding the parallels and correspondences between his texts and his paintings. Go (re) discover the great Pablo Picasso at 5 Rue de Thorigny.

Fashion photography in the spotlight at the Luxembourg Museum

Women and fashion are in the spotlight at the Musée du Luxembourg, 19 Rue de Vaugirard, from September 23rd, 2020 to January 17th, 2021 when the fashion photographs of the early 20th century American visual artist Man Ray are exhibited. Don’t miss this collection of beautiful and relatively little-known black and white fashion-oriented photographs of the artist’s female models of the time. These extraordinary images were produced for the magazine Vogue, the designer Coco Channel and various other markets.

A key figure of the Renaissance at the Jacquemart-André Museum

If you’re passionate about old paintings, then you’ll be delighted to discover Sandro Botticelli, a true master of the Early Renaissance, at the Musée Jacquemart-André. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the Italian artist’s history through his works. Originally scheduled for September 11th, 2020 to January 25th, 2021, the exhibition has been temporarily postponed.
