While counting down to the great global sporting event of the year 2024, the City of Paris is launching various initiatives in anticipation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. One of the results of this is the Formes Olympiques festival being hosted this summer. Completely free, it takes place, among other locations, in municipal sports venues and is being presented as a nexus between art and sport. Not to be missed during your stay at the Hotel Albe Saint-Michel!
A wealth of places and ideas
The aim of the Formes Olympiques festival is to bring not only sport, but also popular culture, to the wider public. In this spirit, the City of Paris has scheduled no fewer than 46 shows or happenings, ranging from hip-hop performances and opera concerts, to theatre, visual arts and dance. All these events will be held in unusual places such as the Arènes de Lutèce, the Stade de Charléty, the El Alamein barge and the Hôpital Saint-Anne.
A programme for everyone
From June 23rd to September 17th, Formes Olympiques invites you to make Paris your own. Listen to opera with your feet in the water at the Butte-aux-Cailles swimming pool. Gasp in amazement as two slackliners suspended between sky and earth perform daring feats of balance in the Parc de Bercy. Join in the dance with the inclusive balls of the company Les Chemins de la Danse in the amphitheatre of the Parc de Belleville, or practice sport to music at the Centquatre or the Square Louise Michel.
The Formes Olympiques festival sums up the spirit that the City of Paris wishes to bring to its Games: festive, inclusive, and dissolving the boundaries between sport and art. During your stay at the Hotel Albe Saint-Michel, you will be at the heart of the event, able to move easily from one festival site to another.
